Face makup tricks

Face Makeup Tricks

The products I talk about are available at drug stores at sale prices to create a Naturally Pretty, Everyday look that is Inexpensive, Classy, and Easy for Every Girl to apply! These Products are all less than 10$ each, affordable in the College Girls Budget! Theres no reason buying high priced items at a cosmetic counter, where prices of Products can be nearly double or triple drug store prices! Being Financially Responsible is just as Important as being Beautiful, and Being Yourself!
Face Wash:  Apply makeup to a Clean Face! Always take your makeup off at night to avoid blemishes!
*Philosophy’s Purity Foaming 3-in-1 Cleansing Gel. This even removed my waterproof mascara without too much foam in my eyes! The smell reminded me of a witch hazel. The 3 oz size is 10$, available at Sephora.
  1. TIP: Always ask for Samples at cosmetic stores and counters (like Sephora, Ulta, Clinique, MAC) don’t leave without one!
Mascara: Buy Your Favorite Mascara on Sale! Get extra of ones you like to keep in a drawer for Back-Up In your Make Up Collection Mascara EXPIRES the fastest of all makeup! Throw it out after 2 or 3 months.

  1. TIP: Keep Mascara, and All of your Makeup in a bag in a cool-dry place. Don’t let it heat up in your Car, or Over-Pump the wand to expose Product to air! These things help Eye-Infection causing BACTERIA to get into your makeup, and that can get into your eye! Gross! If it has a bad smell- it is a sign to throw it out and get a fresh new one! Also; Practice good Makeup Hygiene—! (Possible Topic for Next Video?)
**Maybelline’s Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara (7.77, amazon.com. 4.89, sale at Harmon’s) In Classic Black & Glam Brown. The wide bristles on the brush help catch all of the lashes! The colors are very similar.
  1. TIP: Apply & Let It DRY! Applying one ‘coat’ of mascara to the lashes and letting them dry; waiting before applying another coat helps keep lashes clump-free and naturally pretty! Less is more!
*Almay 1 Coat Dial-Up in 02 Black (8.49, Amazon.com. 5.99, Sale at Harmon’s) Almay is a Cruelty Free Brand! The wand on this is the new-Style Rubber-Kind. The bristles are shorter and get close to the root of the lash for a thin application and it looks just cool and scientific!
  1. TIP: Use this mascara when you’re wearing eye shadow! If you put Eye shadow on before Mascara, the Wand on this gets very close to the root of your lash, with the short bristles it wont cross over and leave black Product where it doesn’t belong!
Eye Pencils & Eye Markers NYX Haul
*NYX Long-lasting Eyebrow Makers (Harmon’s 9.99) I Cant Live Without These! They only come in two shades, though! "Medium" the lighter brown & “Deep" the darker brown. They are the same shape as the Super-Skinny Eye Marker in Carbon Black (9.99, Harmon’s) So, These Eyebrow Makers are Multi-Purpose as Eyeliners!
  1. TIP: The Shape of the entire tool makes applying winged-eyeliner in a pinch. It is like drawing with a marker the exact shape you want, and it isn’t a clumping or thick product- it completely embodies the name “Marker" it looks light and natural.
*NYX Slide On Glide On Eyeliner Pencil in Pure White (7.99, Ulta.com) Apply Product gently to the inner corner of the eye, with a freshly sharpened tip to make Eyes Pop! This is a thin pencil! Many people use the NYX Jumbo Milk Pencil for this eye-brightening technique (4.49, Ulta.com) That is a thick pencil! BUT: What is the Difference Between the Thicknesses of the Pencils? The Slide On is more Bangs for your Buck! As a Wood pencil, I can sharpen it—- Keeping it hygienic. It can last up to 3 YEARS! Sadly, The Jumbo Pencil isn’t really a Pencil at all because it’s body is Plastic! You can’t sharpen it, and there is barely any Product at all! It’s a *Womp* to me.
  1. TIP: Brightening the eye with light is a helpful trick after a *Wild Night Out* to liven sleepy eyes and make them bright!
*NYX Eye Brow Shaper(4.49, Ulta) It’s just a Clear Wax pencil to slick Stray Brows in place! This is a thick pencil.
  1. TIP: Apply Last! If you apply this Product before Filling in your Brows, no Product will Stick to Skin over Wax!
Thick & Thin Wood Pencil Sharpening is essential to good makeup applications! Every Girl needs a Dual-Sized Makeup Sharpener in her Kit! Don’t Ever Use an Average Graphite-Pencil Sharpener with your Make Up! It is Un-Hygienic! Instead of buying the special NYX 2-in1 Sharpener (4.49, Ulta.com) I found a plain duo-sharpener in Harmon’s on sale for a buck! (Okay, I lied! 1.19 before tax!)
TIP: Put pencils in a cold place, like the Refrigerator before sharpening, along with the sharpener! It helps keep the product solid to avoid Breaking inside the Pencil! Always clean the Sharpener. If the tip of the Pencil tip breaks inside the Sharpener make sure to completely clean out the entire left over product to get a clean and sharp point on your tool. Applying making with Dull Points on Tools Makes A Sloppy Application and therefore Less Pretty Makeup!
Lips:

*EOS Pink Strawberry Sorbet (3.49, Ulta.com / 2.99 Harmon’s/ 1.99 Sale at Harmon’s) It’s Clear and Plain when you look at it and comes in a variety of different colors! All the products are identically moisturizing and flavorful!
TIP: Price-Check before buying Lip Balm or other products that are sold more generically at many stores. Each store’s List Price and Sales are different!

Boy Makeup Tricks

Men makup

Makeup and skin care products are not just for women anymore. Men have officially jumped on the beauty bandwagon with a wide variety of products specifically packaged and marketed for a man’s needs. From skin care creams and lotions that target anti-aging to makeup products that help conceal the under eye area or other skin issues, and powder that helps fight oiliness there is a rather long list of makeup and beauty products available for men, and it seems like they may be here to stay. So let’s look at some of the top makeup products for men, so you don’t end up spending money where it’s not needed.

The world’s first official concealing product for men, the CAMO concealer resembles a man’s lip balm tube which keeps it very discreet from criticizing eyes. Menaji states that the CAMO stick is specially formulated to work with the higher oil production that may come from a man’s skin. The Jojoba-based formula is fragrance-free, hypo-allregenic, dermatologist approved, and contains vitamins and SPF8. The concealer comes in three shades, and can be used to cover the under eye area, age spots, blemishes, razor bumps, and more. Of course, as with any concealer you could also use it as a spot foundation to give your skin an all-around even tone
.

A step beyond a regular concealer, the Men Pen is larger and is meant to cover more areas. Although it resembles a woman’s stick foundation the Men Pen comes in 16 different shades and can easily be smoothed onto your skin for quick coverage where-needed. So basically the main use is to even out the skin tone and cover imperfections such as blemishes, pores, scars, moles, bumps, razor burn, and more. The Men Pen has actually been showcased at variouscelebrity events, and has been seen on The Rachel Ray Show, Today Show.com, and in magazines such as Washintonian. As a bonus, if you don’t like the product they offer a full refund with no questions asked.

If you’re going to wear powder then you should definitely reach for a high definition formula. Menaji’s HDPV Anti-Shine Powder works hard as an HD powder while also controlling shine and evening your skin tone. The kicker is that Menaji states that it is "undetectable under the harshest conditions". So if you want to have that flawless skin look, whether on TV or not, then this powder should be a must-have. As a bonus it’s also formulated with vitamins C and E, contains SPF15, comes in four shades, and is housed in a manlier black compact.

If you think that using a styling glaze on your brows is not right for you then reach for a brow corrector instead. KenMen’s correctors are very subtle, and simply allow you to define your brows better or fill in gaps with ease. The bonus is that they can also be used to fill in areas in facial hair as well, so if you love your mustache or beard but it’s starting to thin then you can use the Brow & Beard Corrector to achieve the look of fullness again. The packaging is more masculine than a woman’s brow pencil, and it comes in three versatile shades.

We’ve all seen the men with the batwing and out of control eyebrows. Well with a little grooming and an application or two of 4 VOO’s Lash and Brow Styling Glaze their unruly brows will be back in line in a snap. Even if your brows aren’t out of control, the 4 VOO formula will give them a slight pop while keeping them in-check. It can also be used on lashes to add length, thickness and control while conditioning at the same time. The Lash and Brow Styling Glaze is available in clear or black, but the packaging isn’t sleek and black; instead it looks more like a Clinique mascara tube.

Most men won’t wear a tinted lip product, and there is at least one available, so instead of skimping on great lips you need to reach for a man-based lip balm. Jack Black’s Intense Therapy Lip Balm contains SPF25, shea butter, vitamin E, green tea extract, and avocado oil to help your lips stay safe from the sun yet soft and kissable at the same time. The Jack Black line actually offers a variety of flavors in their lip balm, but if you are only in it for the moisture then we would suggest the regular lip balm. The package is slightly manlier by showcasing a dark blue tube, but if you don’t feel comfortable carrying it with you then you can at least use it at home so your lips don’t feel like scales to your significant other.

tips for collage girls

The middle of the semester is here and tests, quizzes and papers are becoming a normal part of the weekly routine, not to mention football games, work, and that little thing called sleep. Whew! With all this stuff going on, it can be really easy to let things like a makeup routine go by the wayside. Today I'm going to show you a really quick routine that will make you look wide awake and pulled together for that 9 a.m. math class. Did I mention it will take less than five minutes?

Tinted Moisturizer:

Tinted moisturizer is a college girl's best friend. It’s perfect because you can smooth it onto your face during the morning rush to class. Try to find one with SPF so that you get sun protection as well as a light coverage. I find that a tinted moisturizer is perfect for taking the redness out of my cheeks without looking completely made up for class. This one from Clinique gives skin a healthy glow, and the Aveeno tinted moisturizer is available at most drugstores as well!

Peachy, pink blush:

Blush is one of those products that really makes a huge difference in a little amount of time. All you have to do is sweep the shade on the apples of your cheeks and you instantly look radiant. Pink shades are the most universally flattering, but peach shades look give you a natural glow as well. Try blushes from brands like MAC, Benefit, Maybelline and NYX. Each brand offers a wide variety of formulas and colors. Our favorite? Beach blush from Cargo.

Eye shadow:

You don't have to get crazy and put six different shades on your eyes for class, but you can sweep a light shimmery brown shade across your lids for added dimension. You'll never have to hear the words, "you look tired" when you use this trick. If you're really in a rush, you don't even need to use a brush to apply this, just dab on the shimmery shade with your ring finger. MAC make some really great shimmery shades, but Physician's Formula and Covergirl offer some nude shades as well. A great affordable option is the Coastal Scents Original Palette.

Lengthening mascara:

If you only have time for one thing in the morning, mascara should be at the top of your list. It also helps to curl your lashes because it really opens up tired eyes. Mascara adds a subtle definition that's enough to give you the confidence to wink at the cutie in calculus without the added step of eye liner. I love drugstore mascaras because mascara has one of the shortest shelf lives cosmetics-wise (3 months, ladies!) It makes more sense to search for a less expensive option if you're going to be buying mascara four times a year. Maybelline Volum'express mascara and Covergirl LashBlast mascara are top choices.

Tinted Lip Balm:

Okay ladies, a show of hands: how many of you have gotten your hair caught in your lip gloss on your way to class? Been there, done that! Then on top of that, you have to make the super-flattering motion of getting your hair out of the said lipgloss. Has anyone else noticed that lip gloss acts like super-glue on hair? Just me? A tinted lip balm is the perfect solution to this common problem. The tint gives you color like a gloss, without the stickiness factor. Burt's Bee's makes great tinted balms in several colors.
